Is imperfect used for time?
The imperfect tense is generally used for actions in the past that do not have a definite end. These can be actions that are not yet completed or refer to a time in general in the past. It can also be used to talk about: actions that were repeated habitually.
What are the forms of estar?
To describe how you feel or where you are, you use the present indicative forms of estar – estoy, estás, está, estamos, estáis, están.
What are the 3 irregular verbs in the imperfect?
The main 3 irregular verbs in the Spanish past imperfect tense are ser (to be), ir (to go) and ver (to see).
Is fue past tense?
Since the yo form of ‘-ar’ verbs is ‘-é’ in the preterite, both fui and fue look like they could be the yo form, so students sometimes mistakenly say yo fue. So, be sure to remember, fui is the yo form and fue is the él/ella/Ud.
